Softball Recap: West York Area Drops Season-High Score on York Suburban

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West York Area). They blew past the York Suburban Trojans 20-3 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Reagan Hughes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Hughes was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Skimski, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Leah Harlacher also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

West York Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as York Suburban only posted an OBP of .409.

West York Area's record now sits at 5-9. As for York Suburban, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
