Baseball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Takes a Loss

Northwest Cabarrus lost against West Cabarrus back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans fell 12-7 to the West Cabarrus Wolverines.

Ian Stewart was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lancaster, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Northwest Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Cabarrus, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Northwest Cabarrus wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-6 loss against East Rowan on the 28th. As for West Cabarrus, they will challenge Lake Norman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Lake Norman's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
