Volleyball Recap: Sickles Comes Up Short

Sickles lost against Berkeley Prep back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gryphons lost 3-0 to the Buccaneers. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Sickles was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-16, 25-15.

Amaya Robinson paced Sickles' offense, picking up ten kills. Robinson got some help from Sara Buckley and her 13 assists. Robinson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Berkeley Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Sickles will face off against Tampa Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkeley Prep, they will square off against Trinity Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
