Softball Game Preview: Legacy Longhorns vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans

The Legacy Longhorns will head out to challenge the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Legacy got the win against Clark by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cimarron-Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Rancho by a score of 4-3.

Taylor Ramos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

Legacy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Legacy took their win against Cimarron-Memorial when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
