Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Wins High-Profile Contest Against Archbishop Moeller

Valley Christian is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Archbishop Moeller. The Warriors walked away with a 10-7 win over the Fighting Crusaders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Valley Christian got a great performance from Rohan Kasanagottu as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Kasanagottu has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hunter Fujimoto, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Colton Hadfield was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Valley Christian's record now sits at 15-4-1. As for Archbishop Moeller, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will host Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will be playing at home against St. Xavier at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
