After flying high against Athens last Saturday, Mount Carmel came back down to earth. The Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 51-50 to the Warrior Run Defenders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the RED TORNADOES of the 68-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Mount Carmel had strong showings from Jude Lazicki, who went 11-for-20 on his way to 22 points and five boards, and Jaylen Delaney, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That was a full 44% of Mount Carmel's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Balichik, who earned six points.
