Softball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to Bessemer City. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against Bessemer City this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat on Friday.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Bessemer City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will square off against Oak Grove at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bessemer City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-6 defeat against Tuscaloosa Academy on the 12th.
