Basketball Recap: Escalante Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rockwell last Friday, Escalante came back down to earth. The Escalante Moquis were dealt a 60-23 defeat at the hands of the Valley Buffalos on Wednesday. The Moquis haven't had much luck with the Buffalos recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Escalante's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escalante will welcome Panguitch at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Valley, they will host Piute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piute will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
