Brookside has gone a perfect 10-0 against Oberlin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will head out to take on the Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Brookside came up short against Columbia and fell 3-1.

While Brookside ultimately came up short, they really made Columbia work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 21-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Oberlin also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Keystone by a score of 3-1.

Oberlin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-23.

Brookside now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Oberlin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Brookside was able to grind out a solid victory over Oberlin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
