Volleyball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Wiseburn- Da Vinci's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Wiseburn- Da Vinci proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Bishop Diego Cardinals 3-2.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-12.

Matt Divinagracia was the offensive standout of the match as he had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave him a new career-high. Angelo Duarte also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. As for Bishop Diego, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Coming up, Wiseburn- Da Vinci will square off against North at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Diego, they will take on Calvary Chapel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
