Basketball Game Preview: Stephen-Argyle Central Storm vs. Win-E-Mac Patriots

Stephen-Argyle Central is a perfect 5-0 against Win-E-Mac since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Storm will venture away from home to take on the Patriots at 1:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Stephen-Argyle Central and seven for Win-E-Mac.

Stephen-Argyle Central's last matchup with Sacred Heart could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Storm came up short against the Eagles, falling 68-44. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Eagles are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Win-E-Mac took a blow against Fertile-Beltrami on Tuesday, falling 53-26.

Stephen-Argyle Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Win-E-Mac, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Stephen-Argyle Central against Win-E-Mac when the teams last played back in December of 2019, as the team secured a 64-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
