Homer is a perfect 10-0 against Cortland since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will host the Purple Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Homer and eight for Cortland dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Cortland played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Camden, falling 41-14. The Purple Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Homer will have to contain Iniko Abani as he made an impact in Cortland's last game. He rushed for 144 yards and one TD while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cortland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Homer against Cortland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 58-12 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Purple Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
