Softball Recap: Archie Whirlwinds vs. Rich Hill Tigers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adrian, Archie was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Rich Hill Tigers. That's more bragging rights for Archie, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Haliegh Kinney was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lizzy Thompson, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Archie's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Rich Hill, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Archie will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Windsor at 4:30 p.m. Windsor is coming into the game with three straight wins on the road, so Archie will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Rich Hill, they will square off against Miami at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
