Basketball Recap: Stone Mountain Comes Up Short

Stone Mountain lost against Riverdale back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stone Mountain Pirates lost 69-46 to the Riverdale Raiders. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alpha Soumah had a dynamite game for Riverdale, going 5 for 6 en route to 15 points and five steals. That's the most points Soumah has posted since back in December of 2023. Marlon Martin was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Riverdale, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Stone Mountain has already played their next match (against Mt. Zion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverdale will venture away from home to face off against Cedar Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
