Anthony Cobain Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Edison's Anthony Cobain, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cobain rushed for 197 yards on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Edison is on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9. Cobain and Edison will challenge Bullard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Baker Came Up Big in Sanger's 35-28 Win

Sanger picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Bryson Baker. Baker did his part (and then some), rushing for 108 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 73 receiving yards for the 'W'.

Baker must have Madera's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Baker saw the Coyotes), he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

Lee Williams Turns in Season-Best Performance

Justin Garza was led to victory by Lee Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

This season, Williams has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 72.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Joel Arellano Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Madera had to settle for second even though Joel Arellano put up the best numbers he has all season. Arellano threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Madera is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. Arellano and Madera will challenge Justin Garza at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Kendale Mcgrew and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Kendale McGrew was instrumental in extending Sanger's winning streak to six on Friday. McGrew was unstoppable, rushing for 47 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making five total tackles (2.0 for loss).

On the season, McGrew has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 69.4 rushing yards per game.
