Volleyball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

Fort Lupton lost against Severance back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bluedevils lost 3-0 to the Silver Knights. The Bluedevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Fort Lupton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Severance's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Kyleigh Taylor paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up five kills. Taylor got some help from Andrea Anguiano and her six assists. Gabriella Aviles controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Micaela Nethery was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Fort Lupton's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Severance, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Fort Lupton is taking a road trip to challenge Weld Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Severance, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wellington on the 28th.
