Volleyball Game Preview: Weymouth Wildcats vs. Lexington Minutemen

The Weymouth Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Lexington Minutemen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weymouth will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Weymouth hadn't beaten Wellesley on the road since April 28, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Lexington made easy work of Medford on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Minutemen.

Lexington not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Medford between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Weymouth better keep an eye on Jake Siegel. He was instrumental in Lexington's win, getting 20 assists. Siegel is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Weymouth's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. As for Lexington, their record now sits at 19-2.
