After a string of five wins, Community School of Davidson's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Lincoln Charter Eagles, falling 10-5. While losing is never fun, Community School of Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Lincoln Charter are ranked 17th).

Community School of Davidson hit Lincoln Charter with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Liam Carneiro (2), Davin Laquerre (2), and Rush Ratnofsky.

Community School of Davidson's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Lincoln Charter, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community School of Davidson will head out to face off against Corvian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Community School of Davidson will be up against Corvian Community's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Pine Lake Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
