Baseball Game Preview: Bellmont Braves vs. Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins

For the second straight game, Bellmont will face off against Fort Wayne Northrop. The Braves will head out on the road to take on the Bruins at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Bellmont's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Fort Wayne Northrop with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Braves as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Bellmont got a big performance out of Beau Baker, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits Baker has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Werling, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bellmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fort Wayne Northrop has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Bellmont, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
