Butler is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Irmo. The Bulldogs were dealt a 42-14 defeat at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs lost against the Yellow Jackets in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 35-34 score last time.

Having lost for the first time this season, Butler fell to 2-1. As for Irmo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Butler has already played their next game, a 39-0 loss against Providence Day on the 12th. As for Irmo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 51-21 victory against Carolina Forest on the 12th.
