Stansbury and Tooele are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Stallions are taking a road trip to square off against the Buffaloes at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stansbury hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Stansbury fell victim to Bountiful and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the RedHawks. The match marked the first time this season in which the Stallions were not able to get on the board.

Stansbury saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klairity Vargas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Tooele's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Cyprus by a score of 7-6.

Olivia Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Stansbury's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Tooele, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stansbury has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Tooele struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Stansbury skirted past Tooele 6-5 in their previous matchup on April 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
