Volleyball Recap: Clarkton Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Clarkton kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Greenville Bears by a score of 3-2. The Reindeer were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Clarkton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 17-15.

Peyton Bevill paced Clarkton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bevill got some help from Arissa Vincent and her 32 assists. Raylee Harmon controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

Clarkton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Delta on the 29th. As for Greenville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Zalma on the 29th.
