Basketball Recap: Academy for Classical Education Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons lost to the Dodge County Indians at home by a 52-38 margin. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Academy for Classical Education saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaylon Davis went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Academy for Classical Education now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Dodge County, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Academy for Classical Education will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. Dodge County has already played their next game, a 74-59 victory against Wilcox County on the 11th.
