Soccer Game Preview: Republic vs. Clinton

The Republic Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Clinton Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Republic fell just short of Ozark by a score of 1-0. Republic's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Clinton fell victim to Pleasant Hill and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Roosters/Chicks. Clinton haven't had much luck with Pleasant Hill recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Republic now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
