Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Chaparral waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cherokee Trail Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Chaparral's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chaparral to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Johnson, who had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Johnson has posted over her last five matchups. Jenna Baller was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.

Chaparral's record now sits at 8-2. As for Cherokee Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Regis Jesuit on the 16th. Cherokee Trail has also already played their next contest (against Arapahoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
