Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn Takes a Loss

Elkhorn lost against Watertown back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Elks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goslings.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 18-25, 25-16.

Hailey Connelly paced Elkhorn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Connelly got some help from Markie Pedersen and her 15 assists. Pedersen and Connelly didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Elkhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Watertown, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 27-6 record this season.

Elkhorn has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Wilmot on the 18th. As for Watertown, after both having extra time off, they and Wauwatosa West will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
