Volleyball Recap: Hozho Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Hozho Academy entered their tilt with Tse' Yi' Gai on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dine Warriors. The Wolves were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Dine Warriors, so the Wolves were just returning the favor.

While Hozho Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-21.

Raine Miller paced Hozho Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Miller were helped by Lucia Edaakie and Audrey Lee, who contributed nine assists each. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hozho Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hozho Academy will head out to square off against Ramah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they will venture away from home to take on Navajo Pine at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
