Basketball Recap: Macy Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chalmette over Hammond

Chalmette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hammond Tornadoes. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.

Chalmette lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Macy Robinson, who posted 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 40.6% of Chalmette's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Chalmette's record now sits at 4-8. As for Hammond, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Chalmette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-31 loss against Destrehan on the 16th. Hammond has also already played their next game, a 39-32 defeat against Hahnville on the 17th.
