Volleyball Preview: Centennial Titans vs. Heritage Coyotes
Centennial and Heritage are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Centennial Titans will head out to take on the Heritage Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Centennial narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Emerson 3-2.
Centennial wouldn't go down easily and took Emerson into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-20, 25-13, 27-29, 15-8.
Meanwhile, Heritage came into Friday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Lebanon Trail by a score of 3-1 on Friday.
The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21.
Emree Reinhardt and Emily Mcshan were among the main playmakers for Heritage as the former had 12 digs and 24 assists and the latter had 22 digs and three kills. Mcshan has been hot , having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.
Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 34-10 record this season. As for Heritage, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-20.
