Softball Recap: Orange's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orange walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tustin Tillers on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Scarlett Poitra was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 19 batters over 11 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those 19 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Anabelle Alvarado was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Orange kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 8-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Orange's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Tustin, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

As of now, neither Orange nor the Tillers have any future games scheduled.
