Softball Recap: Granville Golden Horde vs. Whitehall Railroaders
Granville lost to Whitehall last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Golden Horde blew past the Railroaders 19-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Horde.
Caroline Baker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Baker was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Cecil Velez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Olsen, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.
Granville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Whitehall, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granville is set to square off against their familiar foe Hartford Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitehall will challenge rival Fort Edward at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
