Softball Recap: Notre Dame Starts off Right with Win over Beau Chene

Notre Dame took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Beau Chene Gators as the Notre Dame Pioneers made off with an 11-1 win. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madaline Johnson looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Malayna Daigle was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lillian Guidry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will host Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Beau Chene, they have already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat against St. Thomas More on the 20th.
