Baseball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Has No Trouble Against Rowland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Capistrano Valley Christian). They blew past the Rowland Raiders 20-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Braden Butler and Will Casarietti did most of the damage at the plate: Butler went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles, while Casarietti went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Casarietti a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Heath Carlson, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Capistrano Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

The victory got Capistrano Valley Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Rowland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Capistrano Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Murrieta Valley on the 28th. As for Rowland, they have also already played their next match, a 12-5 victory against The Webb Schools on the 27th.
