Basketball Game Preview: Flippin Bobcats vs. Mountain View Yellowjackets

The Flippin Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Mountain View Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Flippin faced off against Valley Springs on Tuesday. Flippin came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley Springs, sneaking past 46-44. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Tigers are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mountain View came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 50-37 win over Salem on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Yellowjackets' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The win made it two in a row for Flippin and bumps their season record up to 16-4. As for Mountain View, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Flippin suffered a grim 75-54 defeat to Mountain View in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Flippin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
