Roseau proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the East Grand Forks Green Wave 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on five straight.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Roseau who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-29, 25-12, 21-25, 15-7.
Greta Hedlund had an outrageously good game as she had 22 digs and one assist. Those 22 digs gave her a new career-high.
Despite the loss, East Grand Forks still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Spilde, who had 23 digs. With that strong performance, Spilde is now averaging an impressive 10.6 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Pieper, who had 15 digs.
Roseau's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for East Grand Forks, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
