Football Recap: Yorktown Comes Up Short

Yorktown fell victim to Tappan Zee and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 14-0 bruising from the Dutchmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dutchmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-16 two weeks ago.

Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Tappan Zee, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 17-0.

Yorktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tappan Zee, they will face off against Brewster at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Dutchmen 5.9, the Bears 4.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
