Volleyball Game Preview: Decatur Central Hawks vs. Southport Cardinals

The Decatur Central Hawks will challenge the Southport Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Decatur Central made easy work of Plainfield and carried off a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

While Decatur Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Southport got the win against Noblesville on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Millers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Southport might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Noblesville scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-22.

Decatur Central's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Southport, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
