Basketball Recap: Barnegat Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Barnegat came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Liberty Lions with points to spare, taking the game 69-52. The Bengals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Barnegat's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Barnegat will face off against Lower Cape May on February 27th. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
