Basketball Game Preview: Batesville Pioneers vs. Paragould Rams

The Batesville Pioneers will square off against the Paragould Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Batesville and 31 for Paragould dating back to last season.

Batesville lost 50-25 to West Memphis on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Paragould had to suffer through a 62-30 loss at the hands of Greene County Tech.

Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Paragould, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything came up roses for Batesville against Paragould when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 68-39 win. Does Batesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Paragould turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
