Baseball Game Preview: Holderness Bulls vs. New Hampton School Huskies

Holderness hasn't had much luck against New Hampton School recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulls will look to defend their home field against the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. Holderness will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Holderness is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Kimball Union Academy by a score of 10-9 on Wednesday. Bulls fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, New Hampton School didn't have quite enough to beat Proctor Academy on Wednesday and fell 4-3.

New Hampton School saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Fanale, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Jake Cabral also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Holderness' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for New Hampton School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Holderness might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from New Hampton School in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bulls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
