Branham and Gilroy are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Branham managed to slip by Ann Sobrato the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bruins came up short against the Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bruins have suffered since March 4th.

Branham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Navarro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Navarro has hit this season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Gilroy and Leigh have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Mustangs lost 10-2 to the Longhorns. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brooklyn Puthoff made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Gilroy's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Branham, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Everything went Branham's way against Gilroy in their previous meeting back in March, as Branham made off with an 11-0 victory. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
