It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lyon County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Christian County Colonels 12-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lyons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jenna Coursey was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Courtney Collins was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lyon County lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Lyon County's record now sits at 6-9. As for Christian County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Coming up, Lyon County will challenge Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian County, they will take on Crittenden County at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
