Preview: Chino Cowboys vs. Jordan Panthers
Chino is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Jordan is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chino Cowboys will take on the Jordan Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chino's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
Chino put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Pomona 42-21. With Chino ahead 36-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Nathan Blanco was his usual excellent self, rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Blanco was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Diego Ogata, who threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Jordan had to suffer through a rough 56-14 loss at the hands of Long Beach Poly. While losing is never fun, Jordan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Long Beach Poly is ranked 14th).
Chino's victory bumped their season record to 10-0 while Jordan's loss dropped theirs to 7-3.
