Baseball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh was the 7-4 winner over Laton when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Alpaugh Buffalos lost 15-3 to the Laton Mustangs on Monday.

Alpaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Laton, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Alpaugh will take on Orange Cove in a tournament on Wednesday. Orange Cove's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Alpaugh's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Laton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Riverdale at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Laton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
