Softball Recap: Providence Grove Comes Up Short

Providence Grove was the 8-7 winner over Central Davidson when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Providence Grove fell 5-2 to Central Davidson on Wednesday.

Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Central Davidson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Grove will square off against Randleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Davidson, they will face off against North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Davidson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Central Davidson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
