Horizon has gone 9-1 against Hanks recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Horizon Scorpions will look to defend their home field against the Hanks Knights at 6:30 p.m. Horizon will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Horizon barely beat Hanks the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Horizon blew past Hanks 11-1 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Scorpions, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Franklin Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple.

In other batting news, Damian Lopez and Jakob Mapula did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Mapula scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Jeramiah Paz was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Horizon pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hanks, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12.
