Baseball Recap: Kiefer Takes a Loss

Kiefer lost against Lincoln Christian last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kiefer Trojans came up short against the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs, falling 14-8. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Ruggieri made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Kiefer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lincoln Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kiefer will head out to face off against Mannford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kiefer has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Lincoln Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Sequoyah at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
