Football Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

The Gibbs Gladiators will take on the Bloomingdale Bulls at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Thursday, Gibbs and St. Petersburg were almost perfectly matched up, but Gibbs suffered a 7-6 loss. The Gladiators have struggled against the Green Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Durant on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 12-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulls.

Bloomingdale's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.3 points on average over those games. As for Gibbs, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Things could have been worse for Gibbs, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 15-0 loss to Bloomingdale in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Gladiators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
