Basketball Recap: Bonnabel Comes Up Short

Bonnabel had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4-1 to make it four. They took a hard 61-47 fall against the Scotlandville Hornets. If the Bruins were looking for revenge after losing 62-54 to the Hornets when the teams met back in November of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Scotlandville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. That looming 61-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scotlandville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joe Tate, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Tate a new career-high. Jakarin Whitfield was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bonnabel will square off against Livingston Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scotlandville, they will head out to face off against West Feliciana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
