Basketball Game Preview: Dalton Catamounts vs. Cherokee Warriors

The Dalton Catamounts and the Cherokee Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dalton has six straight victories, Cherokee has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Dalton got the win against Cass by a conclusive 73-52. The Catamounts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cherokee suffered their biggest defeat since February 21st on Friday. They lost 72-46 to Mill Creek. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dalton pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Cherokee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
